Job summary

KPMG LLP in Boston is seeking a Senior Associate, Tax - AMCS (Renewable Energy) to join our Accounting Methods and Credit Services practice. You will develop knowledge in federal tax credits such as IRC 48C, 45Y, 45Q, 45V, 45Z, 45U, 45X, NMTC, HRTC, and 48D, among others.

You will assist with the design, implementation, and documentation of tax credit projects, create technical memoranda, and manage data and communication across project lifecycles.

Qualifications

• Minimum two years of recent experience in a public accounting firm or corporate taxation environment.
• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university in accounting, finance, or a related business field is required.
• Experience performing tax research, tax credit work, reading case law and familiarity with the internal revenue code and associated regulations.
• Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, PDF, and PowerPoint.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills; able to handle multiple engagements and client service teams.
• Ability to travel and work at client locations.
• Authorized to work in the U.S. without visa sponsorship now or in the future; no sponsorship available.

Responsibilities

• Develop and provide knowledge in federal tax credits and renewable energy credits.
• Assist with design, implementation, and documentation of tax credit projects.
• Establish and maintain project management frameworks and data systems.
• Support method reviews and assessments related to revenue and expense recognition, capitalization, fixed assets, and inventory.
• Contribute to business development and maintain client relationships.
• Provide quality assurance, engagement review, and supervise staff.
