Job summary

L3Harris Technologies is seeking a Senior Associate, Quality Engineer to join our Camden, Arkansas facility. You will design, develop, and implement standards and procedures for inspecting and testing products to meet contractual and regulatory requirements.

You will analyze nonconformities, lead PFMEA, manage quality data packages, and interface with suppliers and customers to ensure compliance and continual improvement.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
  • Experience with PFMEA and quality systems is preferred.
  • Ability to obtain US security clearance.

Job Title: Senior Associate, Quality Engineer

Location: Camden, Arkansas

Schedule: 4/10 First shift, Employees work 10 hour days, 4 days a week

Job Description: L3Harris Technologies is seeking a Senior Associate, Quality Engineer to join our growing facility in Camden, Arkansas. This role will be responsible for the design, development and implementation of standards, methods and procedures for inspecting, testing and evaluating the precision and accuracy of company products in compliance with contractual and regulatory requirements. Performs analysis on reported nonconformities and discrepancies related to assembly, process, mechanical, electrical, electro‑mechanical systems, field and clinical data. Further investigates the cause for discrepancies and nonconformities to develop disposition and recommend corrective action plans. Leads material review board and Process Failure Mode Effects Analysis activities. Interfaces with manufacturing, engineering, customer, vendor and subcontractor representatives to ensure requirements are met. Conducts program quality cost account management and manages supplier corrective actions. Serves as the primary interface to customers and suppliers for quality related matters.

Essential Functions
  • Ensure program design and process documents for area of responsibility include program quality requirements and that products are inspectable.
  • Independently review manufacturing planning to ensure appropriate design engineering requirements implementation, material traceability maintenance, quality record maintenance and operator and inspector sign‑offs: designate inspection/verification needs.
  • Leads Process Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (PFMEA) effort to quantify and reduce risk.
  • Actively participate in improvement teams to reduce risk through the application of mistake‑proofing principles.
  • Inspect method development and implementation: develop, implement and monitor new or existing inspection methods to ensure products meet stated engineering requirements.
  • Ensure compliance with all quality system requirements through a thorough knowledge of documented requirements.
  • Independently conduct process audits to ensure processes follow manufacturing planning, program requirements and enterprise‑level command media.
  • Execute First Article Inspection per AS9102 requirements.
  • Perform documentation reviews in support of hardware acceptance (HAR) activities. Develop and maintain Quality Documentation Control Center (QDCC) command media. Monitor manufacturing schedules and QDCC activities in support of HAR customer HAR requirements. Create Acceptance Data Packages (ADP) in support of hardware sell‑off.
  • Participate in the Material Review Board, including segregation and control of nonconforming hardware to preclude inadvertent processing, disposition of nonconforming hardware, preparation for and conduct of board meetings, and implementation of disposition decisions.
  • Drive corrective and preventive action to ensure continual improvement: investigate and determine root causes of problems, develop and implement corrective and preventive actions.
  • Provide imaginative, thorough and practical solutions to a wide range of technical problems through the application of quality engineering disciplines and tools.
  • Ability to obtain a US Secret Security Clearance.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience; Graduate Degree or equivalent with 0 to 2 years of prior related experience; or in lieu of a degree, minimum of 6 years of prior related experience.
