Job summary

Crowe is seeking an experienced audit professional to run client engagements from start to finish, including financial statement preparation, staffing, budgeting, scheduling, and administrative functions. You will supervise, train, and mentor staff and interns on the audit process, assess performance, and maintain strong client relationships across levels to deliver audit services.

Responsibilities

  • Run client engagements from start to finish, including financial statement preparation, engagement staffing, scheduling, budgeting, planning, and administrative functions.
  • Supervise, train, and mentor staff and interns on the audit process and assess staff performance for engagement reviews.
  • Maintain strong client relationships and work with client management and staff at all levels to perform audit services.
  • Work with the audit team to identify and resolve client issues discovered during the audit process.
  • Research and analyze financial statements and audit issues using electronic databases and audit software.
  • Engage key client management to collect information and resolve audit-related problems.
  • Make recommendations for business and process improvements.

Job description

Requirements
  • 2+ years of recent and relevant public accounting external audit experience
  • Experience working with governmental clients
  • Organization, social, technical, accounting, and auditing skills
  • Experience with engagement management, reviews, and staff supervision
  • Ability to multitask across concurrent engagements
  • Ability to research technical matters before manager review
  • Must meet the education requirement for CPA certification in the aligned home office state
  • Existing CPA license in the aligned home office state is advantageous
  • Ability to work additional hours as needed
  • Ability to travel to various client sites
  • Must verify identity and eligibility to work in the United States
