Job summary

Alcon is seeking a Senior Associate Project Manager to coordinate defined projects and apply core project management practices with moderate guidance. You will establish reliable plans, facilitate team execution, and provide visibility into schedule, cost, risk, decisions, and actions.

The role involves developing and maintaining integrated project plans, driving execution cadence with cross-functional partners, analyzing variances, and maintaining governance records.

Qualifications

• Fluent read/write/understand/communicate in English.
• 2 years of relevant project management experience.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain an integrated project or workstream plan with milestones, dependencies, deliverables, and resource assumptions.
• Drive routine execution cadence, action closure, and schedule updates with cross-functional partners.
• Analyze variances and coordinate recovery actions with guidance from senior PM or project leadership.
• Facilitate risk and issue reviews and maintain mitigation, contingency, decision, and change records.
• Maintain forecasts, actuals, accrual inputs, and resource information; identify and explain variances.
• Prepare concise status and governance materials that clearly identify decisions required and execution impacts.
• Facilitate focused team meetings and planning sessions.
• Build credibility through reliable follow-through, transparent communication, and accurate project data.
• Apply PM standards and contribute lessons learned and process improvements.

Alcon is looking to hire a Senior Associate Project Manager team member. In this role you will Coordinate defined projects or significant workstreams and apply core project management practices with moderate guidance. Establishes reliable plans and controls, facilitates team execution, and provides clear visibility into schedule, cost, risk, decisions, and actions.

This role is on-site in our Lake Fores, CA location and a typical day would include:

What You’ll Bring to Alcon:

• Bachelor’s Degree or Equivalent years of directly related experience (or high school +15 yrs; Assoc.+11 yrs; M.S.+4 yrs; PhD+3 yrs)
• The ability to fluently read, write, understand and communicate in English
• 2 Years of Relevant Experience
