Job description

About The Team

New Verticals is an exciting team at DoorDash that is building and scaling new ways to delight our customers beyond restaurant deliveries (e.g., Grocery, Convenience, Alcohol, Retail).

About The Role

We are looking to build out our team with a Senior Associate who will focus on a variety of strategic and operational initiatives on the New Verticals Central Ops pod. You will lead the scoping, go-to-market, and iteration of cutting-edge product features to help DoorDash improve order quality and selection across our Convenience, Grocery, Alcohol and Retail businesses. You work will include attracting more Dashers into shopping, building the tools & technology they use in-store, and ensuring the right supply is available in the right place at the right time. Your work will be highly visible, and involves partnering with the Machine Learning, Engineering, Product, and Data Science teams. You will sit in the Central Ops group within our New Verticals Strategy & Operations organization and report into a Manager. This is an individual contributor position.

You’re Excited About This Opportunity Because You Will…
  • Analyze: You love working with data and using data to drive business decision-making. You love talking to customers, unpacking their feedback, coming up with improvement opportunities and are familiar with SQL.
  • Strategize: You will own and deliver on improving key metrics. You will create quarterly and annual plans that push our business forward and are aligned with our product capabilities. You will help these teams identify opportunities for enhancing our existing product offering and methods to improve delivery quality.
  • Lead: You will help lead cross-functional work streams of Engineers, Data Scientists and Designers to develop best in class product features that will enhance the quality of New Vertical deliveries
  • Own: You love owning problems end-to-end. You display ownership for the products and business lines that you are responsible for. You never shy away from raising your hand to solve ambiguous problems and are able to motivate and empower your teammates to go above and beyond.
We’re Excited About You Because…
  • You’re analytical. You have a data-driven mindset, live and breathe numbers, and use them to understand problems and tell stories. You’re very comfortable using Excel and visualizing data (SQL experience is a bonus!)
  • You are an operator. You don’t hesitate to get in the weeds and operate at the lowest level of detail, but you’re also able to think long-term. You are excited to experience our operation firsthand to inform your strategy.
  • You have 1-3+ years of experience. Ideally in consulting, strategy, operations, technology, banking, food & beverage, high-growth startups, etc.
  • You solve problems from first principles. You’re excited to think innovatively, and you resist “this is how it’s always been done” thinking.
  • You have a completed Bachelor’s Degree.

We expect this position to be filled by November 10,2026.
