Job Description:

L3Harris is seeking a highly qualified Network IP Engineer to serve as the L3Harris/FTI Liaison at the FAA STL/NADIN NEMC Facility in support of the NEMC Program and Field Service Group. This is an advanced technical position responsible for supporting the integration, operation, sustainment, and troubleshooting of telecommunications services provided by the FAA Telecommunications Infrastructure (FTI) and FAA Enterprise Network Services (FENS).

The selected candidate will provide technical leadership for complex operational activities involving the analysis, design, modification, development, installation, repair, maintenance, and evaluation of highly complex telecommunications and network systems supporting the National Airspace System (NAS). This individual will apply extensive technical experience to monitor and evaluate nationwide trend data, develop practical solutions, and support operational continuity for mission-critical NAS services.

This role requires an individual who can address unanticipated issuesaffecting operational systems, interface effectively with FAA and internal stakeholders, and serve as a trusted technical expert for assigned systems and specialty areas.

Essential Functions:

• Serve as the primary L3Harris/FTI Liaison for operational and integration activities related to FTI and FENS services.
• Support and maintain NEMC in the operational environment across NAS, IP, and MS domains.
• Troubleshot operational services, infrastructure, and customer server connections across OSI Layers 1 through 7.
• Provide Tier 2 on-site support for NEMC operational issues, including outages, impairments, and service degradations.
• Support Maintenance Requests (MRs), including impact analysis, review and explanation of Methods of Procedure (MOPs), implementation support, and post-maintenance issue resolution.
• Assist with alarm analysis, ticket review, and service design questions related to NEMC services.
• Support emerging requirements and future-state designs for new services and capabilities.
• Review and assess the daily health and status of NEMC infrastructure and services.
• Design and generate reports using Oracle Enterprise Manager.
• Interface with FTI NOCC Support, Network Engineering Support, Field Service Team, and Security Support teams.
• Develop technical procedures and provide knowledge transfer and training to the onsite customer team members as needed.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience. Graduate Degree or equivalent with 0 to 2 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 6 years of prior related experience.
• CCNA certification required.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust Clearance.

Preferred Additional Skills:

• Exceptional verbal, written, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
• Experience developing procedural and technical documentation.
• Experience with network and performance management tools, security tools and appliances, Layer 2 technologies, wireless communications, cloud computing, and telecommunications services.
• Experience working in a telecommunications carrier environment supporting large-scale, mission-critical network implementations.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced operational environment.
• Flexibility to adapt to changing requirements, schedules, and priorities.
• Ability to present recommendations, build consensus, and drive technical decisions forward.
