Job summary

The Department of Microbiology & Immunology and the Institute on Infectious Diseases (UMIID) at the University of Minnesota Medical School invites applications for two tenure-track/tenured faculty positions to be filled at the Associate or Full Professor level.

We seek scientists with a strong, independent program in basic virology, immune response to infection, and innate immunity who can contribute to training undergraduates, graduate students, and postdocs.

Qualifications

• PhD, MD, or equivalent in a relevant field.
• Plus applicable faculty experience.
• Evidence of an independent, externally funded research program.

Responsibilities

• Teach and train undergraduates, graduate students, and postdocs.
• Develop and lead a productive, innovative research program.
• Collaborate across departments and centers to advance infectious disease research.
