Qualifications

• Active license to practice law in Texas.
• 5+ years of first-party insurance litigation experience, preferably in property coverages.
• Excellent legal research, writing, litigation strategy and advocacy skills.
• Experience with drafting pleadings, motions, written discovery, and client reporting in insurance disputes.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities

Responsibilities

• Take primary responsibility for an active first-party litigation docket from inception through resolution.
• Receive autonomy to handle your caseload through all phases of litigation while also receiving assistance, support, and strategic guidance from managing partners and other attorneys on the team when needed.
• Defend first-party bad faith lawsuits involving: Commercial Property, Business Income, and other commercial coverages; Residential property; UM/UIM coverage; Stowers, excess judgment, and other coverage disputes
• Develop and execute litigation strategy in partnership with sophisticated client representatives from large, national insurance carriers.
• Build strong client relationships through exceptional communication, responsiveness, and results.
