Job summary

Amgen is seeking a Senior Associate, Finance to support the Global Markets Finance team in consolidating worldwide Amgen sales. The role reports to the Senior Manager, Finance and involves modeling, forecasting, and presenting financial results to senior management.

Preferred candidates have strong Excel/PowerPoint skills, experience in finance/planning, and the ability to work across cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree or higher in Finance/Accounting or related field.
• Bachelor’s degree with 2 years of Finance/Accounting experience.
• Associate degree with 6 years of Finance/Accounting experience.
• High school diploma / GED with 8 years of Finance/Accounting experience.
• Pharmaceutical/Biotech experience preferred.
• Strong Excel and PowerPoint proficiency.
• Detail oriented; excellent analytical and math skills.
• Strong written, verbal communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to thrive in ambiguous situations and team environment.
• Able to take the initiative and work under a minimum of direction.

Responsibilities

• Performs financial modeling, preparation of materials to support the quarterly earnings process and quarter close.
• Assists in financial planning processes for quarterly forecasts, annual budgets and long range plans.
• Preparation and presentation of results and ideas to senior management, and providing key financial support and analysis on an ad hoc basis to help drive and improve business performance.
• Demonstrates the ability to closely follow instructions for ongoing requirements, but also show the ability to take initiative after an initial set of directions; will provide key support on multiple projects; will be an integral part of cross-functional teams; will formulate and clearly deliver complex information, issues and recommendations in both written and oral presentations to Finance Management; will develop and use complex business and financial models to help make decisions.

Senior Associate, Finance

What you will do

Let’s do this. Let’s change the world. Amgen is searching for a Senior Associate, Finance who will play a key role in financial support of the Global Markets and Policy (Global Markets) organization. The Senior Associate will be part of the Global Markets Finance team and help support financial consolidation of worldwide Amgen sales. This role will report to the Senior Manager, Finance in the Global Markets Finance group.

The expected annual salary range for this role in the U.S. (excluding Puerto Rico) is posted. Actual salary will vary based on several factors including but not limited to, relevant skills, experience, and qualifications.
