Job summary

Coinbase, Inc. is hiring a Senior Associate, FCM to support US Futures, Prediction Markets, and Options. You will own exception management and drive readiness for new product launches, ensuring our derivatives infrastructure scales reliably with regulatory expectations.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in financial services or fintech operations with FCM, broker-dealer, or listed derivatives experience.
• Analytical problem-solving in exception-based operations with strong prioritization and escalation.
• Product launch and operational readiness experience including UAT, playbooks, and go-live support.
• Cross-functional partnering with Product, Engineering, Risk, and Compliance in fast-paced environments.
• Interest in blockchain/cryptocurrency markets and responsible use of AI with human oversight.

Responsibilities

• Own exception management across cash, positions, trades, and margin, including triage, investigation, resolution, and durable fixes.
• Lead operational readiness for new product launches, covering UAT/test case design, playbooks, cutover plans, and post-launch stabilization.
• Partner with Product, Risk, Compliance, Accounting, and Engineering to design scalable processes, controls, and reporting.
• Establish monitoring and exception reporting frameworks (SLAs, KPIs, dashboards) and run incident triage with clear escalation paths.
• Drive root cause analysis and post-mortems, translating learnings into product and process improvements.
• Identify and implement automation and tooling to reduce operational friction and manual work.

Senior Associate, FCM

The FCM Operations team supports Coinbase Financial Markets, Inc. across US Futures, Prediction Markets, and Options by managing back-office operations including trade flow management, position management, margin monitoring, regulatory reporting, and business analytics. As a Senior Associate, FCM, you'll own exception management and operational readiness for new product launches, ensuring our derivatives infrastructure scales reliably while meeting regulatory expectations.

What you'll do:

• Own exception management across cash, positions, trades, and margin, including triage, investigation, resolution, and implementation of durable fixes

• Lead operational readiness for new product launches, covering UAT/test case design, playbooks, cutover plans, and post-launch stabilization

• Partner with Product, Risk, Compliance, Accounting, and Engineering to design processes, controls, and reporting that scale and meet regulatory expectations

• Establish monitoring and exception reporting frameworks (SLAs, KPIs, dashboards) and run incident triage with clear escalation paths

Required Skills and Experience:

• 5+ years in financial services or fintech operations with FCM, broker-dealer, or listed derivatives experience, emphasizing trade operations, margin, or exception management

• Demonstrated analytical problem-solving in exception-based operations with strong prioritization and escalation judgment

• Product launch and operational readiness experience, including requirements gathering, UAT execution, playbook development, and go-live support

• Effective cross-functional business partnering with Product, Engineering, Risk, and Compliance teams in fast-moving environments

• Working knowledge of listed derivatives characteristics and interest in blockchain/cryptocurrency markets

• Utilizes generative AI responsibly, maintaining human oversight to deliver business-ready outputs and drive measurable improvements in workflow efficiency, cost, and quality.
