Job description

Job Title: Senior Associate - Denver
Ready to move beyond busy season?

A high-growth, entrepreneurial leadership and financial advisory firm is expanding its Denver team and seeking experienced accounting and finance professionals ready to accelerate their careers. This organization partners with Fortune 1000 and large-cap companies to solve complex, high-impact financial challenges—ranging from IPO readiness and M&A to technical accounting and transformation initiatives.

If you want more than a traditional audit path—greater exposure, faster growth, and meaningful client impact, this is designed for you.

What You’ll Do
  • Lead and deliver critical accounting and finance projects for large, complex organizations
  • Support initiatives such as IPO readiness, mergers & acquisitions, carve-outs, and financial reporting transformations
  • Apply deep knowledge of U.S. GAAP and Financial Accounting Services Board (FASB) rules and standards
  • Engage directly with senior stakeholders and finance leaders
  • Contribute to business development, recruiting, and internal growth initiatives
Must-Have Qualifications
  • 3+ years of experience in external audit (required)
  • Background from Big 4 or leading national firms.
  • At least 1–3 busy seasons as a Senior
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
  • Strong foundation in U.S. GAAP and financial reporting
  • Demonstrated career progression and professional stability
  • Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, modeling, macros a plus)
Preferred:
  • CPA or active progress toward certification
  • Hybrid experience across public accounting + industry or advisory
  • Experience with large public companies ($500M–$3B+ revenue)
Professional Profile
  • High-energy, adaptable, and intellectually curious
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to influence and build trust
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with interest in expanding beyond traditional audit work
  • Proven ability to learn quickly and deliver immediate value
  • Team-oriented with a long-term growth perspective
Travel Requirements

Moderate travel expected (~25–60%), depending on project and client needs.

Primarily within your assigned market and surrounding client locations

Flexibility required for on-site client engagements

Why This Opportunity Stands Out
  • Work on high-impact, strategic projects—not repetitive audit cycles
  • Exposure to multiple industries and business challenges
  • Accelerated career growth with broad skill development
  • A platform that blends leadership advisory + financial expertise
  • Clear investment in your long-term career trajectory
Compensation & Benefits
  • Competitive base salary + performance-based incentives (target approximately 40%)
  • Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision coverage
  • Generous PTO, paid holidays, and sick leave
  • 401(k) with profit sharing
  • Professional development and continuing education support
  • Access to leadership training and career coaching

If you're an audit professional looking to break out of the traditional path and gain broader, more strategic experience, this is your next move.
