The Rockefeller Foundation seeks a Senior Associate for the Connected Leaders Program in New York. This role translates program priorities into robust operational systems, manages complex projects, and ensures timely decisions through high-quality data and communications.

Reporting to the Director of Convenings, you will collaborate with internal teams, applicants, convening organizers, residents, contractors, and partners to maintain delivery quality and program impact.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of relevant experience in project, program, event, or operational management.
• Experience managing complex projects with multiple priorities, dependencies, and deadlines in a dynamic environment.
• Experience maintaining and analyzing program or operational data, including data accuracy and reporting.
• Proficiency with Microsoft 365, including Forms, and familiarity with Salesforce CRM, Monday.com, or similar platforms.
• Experience with Claude or other AI tools is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and continuously improve operational systems and workflows for convenings, residencies, and network engagement.
• Manage end-to-end application and selection processes with intake, tracking, calendars, communications, and decision-support materials.
• Maintain quality control across SOPs, process docs, shared files, trackers, and external communications.
• Serve as operational point of contact for applicants, convening organizers, residents, and external stakeholders.
• Coordinate with travel and production providers, contractors, and related grantmaking processes.
• Coordinate learning and feedback processes for Bellagio Center and other convenings, including surveys and reporting.
• Own operational relationship-management with convening organizers and post-convening follow-up.
• Maintain status and tracking for key projects, identifying risks and dependencies to meet deadlines.
• Support partnerships and portfolio activities, including open-call applications and timely decisions.

Salary Range

$105,050.00 To $118,539.00 Annually

Position Overview

The Connected Leaders Program (CLP) brings together leaders, ideas, and networks to advance The Rockefeller Foundation’s mission and strategic priorities. Within CLP, the Convenings & Networks team designs and delivers convenings, residencies, and network engagement, including programming connected to the Bellagio Center, and builds the systems and partnerships needed to support a high-quality participant experience and sustained engagement.

The Senior Associate, Connected Leaders Program supports the effective delivery and continuous improvement of the team’s convening and network portfolio by translating program priorities into well-run operational systems and processes. The role manages complex project workflows, maintains high-quality data and communications, and provides the information and operational support needed for timely decisions and successful program delivery. Reporting to the Director, Convenings, the Senior Associate works across internal teams and with applicants, convening organizers, residents, contractors, and external partners, applying strong project management, sound judgment, and disciplined execution to keep workstreams on track.

Work Schedule

This role is fully on-site and isrequiredto be in the office Monday through Friday.

Hiring Range

$105,050- $118,539. This represents the present low and high ends of the Foundation’s hiring range for this position. Actual pay will vary based on various factors, including but not limited to experience.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and continuously improve operational systems and workflows for convenings, residencies, and network engagement.
• Manage end-to-end application and selection processes, including intake, pipeline tracking, calendaring, communications, and decision-support materials, ensuring milestones are met and internal decision-makers have timely, well-structured information.
• Maintain strong quality control across team SOPs, process documentation, shared files, trackers, and external communications to support consistent execution and professional representation of the Foundation.
• Serve as a key operational point of contact for applicants, convening organizers, residents, and other external stakeholders, exercising sound judgment on when to engage team leadership.
• Coordinate with travel and production providers and other contractors, managing scopes of work, records, financial reconciliations, and related grantmaking and contracting processes.
• Coordinate learning and feedback processes for Bellagio Center and other Foundation convenings, including surveys, follow-up, reporting, and data analysis to support program monitoring, evaluation, and continued engagement.
• Own operational relationship-management processes with convening organizers, including post-convening follow-up, interviews, scheduling, and network‑engagement outreach.
• Maintain accurate status and tracking for key team projects and deliverables, proactively identifying risks, dependencies, and follow‑up actions to keep work moving against deadlines.
• Support convening partnerships and other portfolio activities, including open‑call applications, through research, meeting preparation and participation, partner coordination, and timely follow‑through on decisions and action items.

Experience, Education, and Skills

• Generally expected to have 5+ years of relevant experience in project, program, event, or operational management, or a related field.
• Background managing complex projects and processes involving multiple priorities, dependencies, and deadlines in a dynamic environment.
• Experience maintaining and analyzing program or operational data, including responsibility for data accuracy, quality control, reporting, or decision support.
• Proficiency with Microsoft 365, including Microsoft Forms, and strong familiarity with Salesforce CRM, Monday.com, or similar workflow, database, and project management platforms.
• Experience with Claude or other AI tools, preferred
• Track record of independently managing workstreams, identifying and resolving issues, and recognizing when leadership input or decisions are needed.
• Experience developing written communications, reports, or decision-support materials that organize and communicate complex information clearly and concisely.
• Success coordinating work across internal teams and with external partners, participants, vendors, or other stakeholders.
