Gallagher Bassett is seeking a Senior Consultative Analyst to drive quantitative analysis for a major carrier client. You will develop scorecards, deliver monthly executive insights, and collaborate with Client Services and Claims Operations.

Strong SQL, Excel, and presentation skills are essential. You will translate complex data into actionable recommendations, streamline reporting, and lead initiatives that improve efficiency and outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in statistics, mathematics, computer science, finance, data science, engineering, or economics.
• 5+ years of professional experience in business intelligence, analytics, statistics, data science, or related field.
• Proficiency in SQL with ability to analyze and convert complex data into insights.
• Expert in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
• Experience with data visualization and presenting insights to senior stakeholders.

How you'll make an impact

As the dedicated senior consultative analyst for one of GB’s largest carrier clients, you will execute quantitative analysis to drive actionable insights. Your insights should identify performance gaps and hypotheses for root cause, leading to specific action plans to capitalize on opportunities. You will work very closely with Client Services, Claims Operations, as well as the Client’s analytics team and our internal executive team. You will be responsible for developing and maintaining appropriate scorecards and reports to track this client’s claims and operational performance, including packaging of monthly insights for an executive report out. The ideal candidate will be able to juggle numerous inflight asks with a short timeline and communicate expectations effectively with internal and external stakeholders across the organization. Intermediate to expert level skills in SQL and Excel are essential for analyzing and transforming complex data into meaningful insights, presenting the findings clearly, and identifying strategic next steps to effectively influence outcomes. In addition, you will be required to streamline processes and automate reporting where applicable.

• Generating analyses and reports related to client’s claims outcomes to provide recommendations for senior and executive audiences
• Identifying and assessing opportunities to improve productivity, efficiency, and outcomes across GB’s operations as they pertain to this client
• Packaging insights from analyses into highly polished presentations for internal stakeholders and/or executive team
• Evaluating financial impact of rolling out new pilots and initiatives
• Conducting primary and/or secondary research to identify required data to solve a given business question
• Overseeing build-out of tools/technology as needed to ensure claims ops and client services have ability to comprehensively track outcomes
• Intermediate knowledge of fundamental claim concepts, practices, and procedures within GB’s operations
• Able to work independently with minimal guidance as needed
• Tasked with solving problems of moderate to high complexity
• Significant client interaction and engagement

About You

• Bachelor’s degree in statistics, mathematics, computer science, finance, data science, engineering, or economics.
• A background in insurance, insurance broking, or financial services.
• 5+ years of relevant professional experience in business intelligence, analytics, statistics, data science, or related field.
• Excellent problem solving skills as well as critical thinking and conceptual thinking abilities.
• Expert in Microsoft products - Excel, Power Point
• Proficiency in SQL (R, Python, SAS - a plus) with the ability to analyze and convert complex data into meaningful insights

Preferred:

• Demonstrated abilities to lead and develop analysts.
• Experience gathering and aligning business requirements across stakeholders.
