About This Role

Harbor is seeking a Senior Associate Consultant to join our growing and fast‑paced advisory consulting team within the Corporate Legal Solutions practice. The Advisory team works with corporate law departments to provide consulting services focused on optimizing business strategies and improving operational performance through people, process, and service delivery transformation. This full‑time, hybrid role is based in our Chicago office. The ideal candidate is dynamic, willing and eager to jump into a variety of project types to solve our clients’ strategy and operations problems. Job Duties + Responsibilities

• Work with Project Leadership to execute client engagements that include collecting information, data analysis and research, and creating reports and presentations.
• Use critical thinking to analyze data and synthesize information from a wide range of sources (financial and headcount data, process maps, survey data, qualitative written or verbal feedback).
• Produce thorough and accurate work product and written communications, leveraging business‑writing principles in collaboration with project leadership.
• Utilize judgment to manage time effectively and anticipate project needs to ensure timely and efficient delivery.
• Respond to clients’ needs with direction and support to ensure high quality of service and satisfaction across projects.
• Educate yourself to understand clients, their needs, and required deliverables.
• Support cross‑functional teams and initiatives that may extend beyond client engagements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required, preference for business or economics‑oriented degrees.
• Relevant work experience within a professional services firm (preferred) including 2–4 years in one or more of the following: Big 4 or similar consulting environment, law department or law firm operations, outside counsel management, benchmarking and data analysis, legal resource optimization.
• Permanent U.S. work authorization.
• Live in or be willing to relocate to Chicago immediately.
• Advanced proficiency with Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including ability to engage internal and client stakeholders.
• Strong observational, analytical, numerical reasoning, business acumen, problem‑solving skills.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks while maintaining exacting standards and keen attention to detail.
• Ability to multi‑task effectively across multiple projects and clients.
• Ability to build trust as a dependable resource within the project team.
• Positive, enthusiastic attitude and entrepreneurial spirit with eagerness to learn and develop new subject matter expertise and business skills.
• Intellectual curiosity and willingness to take feedback.
