Job summary

United States Digital Space LLC is seeking a Senior Associate on the Compliance Assurance & Testing team to lead strategic end-to-end compliance testing, ensuring regulatory alignment and meeting bank partner expectations. You will collaborate with internal teams and the issuing bank's legal and compliance groups, reporting to the Head of Compliance Assurance and Testing, and help identify control gaps.

Qualifications

  • 5–8 years of experience in regulatory compliance testing in financial services, risk consulting, or fintech.
  • Knowledge of consumer financial protection, banking, payment networks, money transmission, and consumer lending.
  • Strong problem-solving, initiative, and ability to work independently.
  • Able to handle ambiguity and multiple priorities.
  • Analytical skills such as SQL or data visualization are a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end compliance testing: scope reviews, cross-functional collaboration, testing, and reporting results to senior management.
  • Proactively identify solutions to complex findings and ensure remediation through follow-up.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to perform testing and support bank partner testing oversight.
  • Design automated internal compliance monitoring to identify trends, issues and KPIs.
  • Maintain knowledge of applicable laws and regulatory changes affecting products/services.

About the role

We are hiring for a Senior Associate on the company's Compliance Assurance & Testing team. You will work in a fast paced environment and play an essential role in ensuring the company remains compliant with regulatory requirements, internal policies, and bank partner expectations. In this role you will perform strategic end-to-end compliance testing of the company's innovative products and services to identify risks and control gaps. This will involve partnership with internal teams, as well as collaboration with our issuing bank partner's legal and compliance teams. This role will report to the Head of Compliance Assurance and Testing.

The base salary offered for this role and level of experience will begin at $101,000.00 and up to $140,000.00. Full-time employees are also eligible for a bonus, competitive equity package, and benefits. The actual base salary offered may be higher, depending on your location, skills, qualifications, and experience.

In this role, you can expect to

  • Lead the end-to-end compliance testing process: from strategically scoping the review, partnering with cross functional teams to obtain necessary documentation, performing robust testing and gathering/reporting testing results to senior management.
  • Proactively assist the business by identifying solutions to complex issues/findings and performing follow-up to ensure remediation is successful.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to perform compliance testing and/or to support bank partner testing oversight.
  • Play a key role in creating and designing automated internal compliance monitoring and testing to identify trends, issues, and key performance and risk indicators.
  • Maintain current knowledge of applicable laws and regulations and understand regulatory impact of changes to product/service offerings.

To thrive in this role, you have

  • Have 5-8 years of work experience, including: regulatory compliance testing in Financial Services, Risk Consulting or Fintech companies.
  • Knowledge of laws, regulations, and rules governing consumer financial protection, banking, payment networks, money transmission, and consumer lending.
  • Strong problem-solving skills are essential and demonstrated ability to take initiative and work independently.
  • Work well with ambiguity and multiple priorities while balancing the interests of multiple stakeholders.
  • Analytical skills, such as SQL or data visualization, are a plus.
