Job summary

Truist is seeking a Compensation Analyst to provide analytical and administrative support for compensation programs. You will assist with salary structures, market pricing, and job evaluations, while handling routine analyses under supervision.

The role requires practical Excel skills and at least 3 years in compensation or HR, with in-office work expectations in Charlotte, NC. Eligible candidates should be located in or relocate to the area.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a related field or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum 3 years of professional experience in compensation or HR.
  • Solid knowledge of job evaluation and market pricing concepts.
  • Proficiency with Excel and MS Office applications.

Responsibilities

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Supports the administration of compensation programs, including salary structures, incentive plans, and pay policies.
  2. Assists with compensation reviews covering base pay, short-term incentives, and other pay elements.
  3. Conducts job analysis, job evaluation, classification, and market pricing activities with guidance.
  4. Performs routine compensation analyses to support internal equity and market competitiveness.
  5. Prepares compensation data, reports, and documentation for review by more senior compensation professionals.
  6. Responds to compensation-related questions and requests from internal stakeholders within established guidelines.
  7. Supports non-cash rewards and recognition programs through data analysis and program administration.
  8. Assists with compensation projects or initiatives and completes assigned tasks within defined timelines.
  9. Demonstrates understanding of compensation governance, controls, and regulatory considerations.

Required Qualifications

  1. Bachelor's degree or equivalent education, training, and work-related experience.
  2. Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in compensation, human resources, or a related discipline.
  3. Working knowledge of compensation fundamentals, including job evaluation and market pricing concepts.
  4. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.

Preferred Qualifications

1. Advanced analytical and Excel modeling skills, with the ability to synthesize complex compensation data into clear, actionable insights that inform business decisions and tell a compelling story.

2. Experience supporting compensation consultants and offer processes, including job evaluations, market pricing, and developing competitive offer recommendations in a fast-paced environment.

3. Demonstrated ability to conduct broader workforce and market analyses, translating data into insights on internal positioning, pay competitiveness, and trends relative to the external market.
