Job summary

Purk & Associates, PC, a growing St. Louis-based CPA firm, seeks a Senior Auditor for our Assurance Services department. The role involves audits, reviews, and compilations for privately held companies, not-for-profits, and employee benefit plans. You will interact with client owners and senior management and supervise staff.

The ideal candidate has CPA with 2–3 years of public accounting experience, GAAP/GAAS knowledge, and familiarity with audit software. Some remote work may be available.

Qualifications

• CPA with 2–3 years of public accounting experience.
• Strong understanding of GAAP and GAAS.
• Knowledge of audit software and research systems.

Responsibilities

• Audit, review, and compilation services for clients.
• Be on-site as an auditor and consultant with client owners and senior management.
• Set your own daily schedule based on client needs; occasional remote work.

Purk & Associates, PC, a growing St. Louis-based CPA firm, has an immediate need for a Senior Auditor in our Assurance Services department.Purk & Associates, PC specializes in serving privately held companies in a wide array of industries, in addition to not-for-profits and employee benefit plans.The Senior Associate position is a high profile position with respect to interaction with client owners and senior management, staff supervision and development, and overall firm management.Client service responsibilities include financial statement audits, reviews, and compilations.

The ideal candidate will possess:

• A high motivation for working in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment
• CPA with 2–3 years of public accounting experience
• Understanding of generally accepted accounting principles and generally accepted auditing standards
• Understanding of Knowledge Coach audit software and research or similar electronic automated systems
• Construction contract accounting and ERISA reporting background a plus
• The ideal candidate would be:Fun, energetic, professional,technical , flexible

The daily job would consist of:

• Working with clients on a daily basis
• Being on-site as an auditor and consultant
• Working at client offices alone from time to time
• Setting your own daily schedule based on client needs (we are not a “time-punch” employer!)
• If needed, working remotely or working from home at times
