Job summary

Aldridge Pite, LLP seeks a Senior Associate Attorney for its California Foreclosure Trustee Litigation Department to manage defense litigation for foreclosure trustees. The role requires handling cases from start to finish, drafting pleadings, and managing discovery.

Strong communication and real estate/mortgage law experience are essential. Requirements include a JD from an accredited law school, admission to CA bar (Utah a plus), and 5–10 years of litigation experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree required; JD from an accredited law school.
• Five to ten years of legal experience, preferably in litigation, real estate or mortgage law.
• Admission to practice law in California; Utah admission preferred but not required.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to manage caseload and priorities.
• Proficient with Word, Excel, Outlook and Internet tools.

Purpose:

The Senior Associate Attorney will work in our firm’s California Foreclosure Trustee Litigation Department, and will primarily manage defensive litigation work related to foreclosure trustees.

Specific Duties & Responsibilities:

• Manage cases from inception to completion
• Prepare analysis of case and advise client regarding strategies
• Draft court pleadings, defense of motions
• Handle discovery
• Attend court hearings, both telephonic and in person
• Other duties and special projects as needed

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree
• Juris Doctor from accredited law school
• Five to Ten years of experience in the practice of law, preferably litigation, real estate or mortgage law
• Admission to practice law in the state of California. Admission to practice law in the state of Utah preferred but not required.
• Must have excellent communication skills both verbal and written
• Must be proficient in software tools including but not limited to Word, Excel, Outlook and the Internet
• Ability to manage and prioritize your caseload
