Job summary

Lorber, Greenfield & Olsen, LLP in San Diego, CA seeks a Senior Associate Attorney to handle substantive civil litigation work from day one, including drafting and arguing motions, taking depositions, and representing clients in trial, arbitration, and mediation.

You will provide strategic counsel, manage a active docket, and collaborate with firm partners while maintaining high professional standards in a flexible work environment, onsite, remote, or hybrid.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of civil litigation experience.
• Track record of drafting and arguing motions.
• Experience navigating the California court system.
• Skilled at depositions and witness examinations.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Strong analytical instincts.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Active member of the California State Bar.
• Background in construction or casualty claims is a plus.

Responsibilities

The Role

We're looking for a sharp, motivated Senior Associate Attorney to join our San Diego, California litigation team. You'll be a core part of how we serve our clients — handling substantive work from day one, with real responsibility and direct access to firm partners. This isn't a seat-warmer position. You'll draft and argue motions, take and defend depositions, represent clients in trial, arbitration, and mediation, and provide strategic counsel that actually moves the needle.

What We're Looking For

• 5+ years of civil litigation experience (you've done this before and enjoyed it)
• A track record of drafting and arguing motions that hold up in court
• Confidence navigating the California court system
• Skilled at depositions and witness examinations
