NewEdge Power, a pure-play clean energy development platform, is seeking a Senior Associate Accountant to support multi-entity accounting across corporate parents and project entities. You will manage month-end close, intercompany activity, and fixed asset schedules in a remote EST environment with NYC-area preference.

The role emphasizes strong GAAP knowledge, experience with cloud-based systems, and a proactive, detail-oriented mindset.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field.
• Strong working knowledge of U.S. GAAP, including ASC 360, ASC 842, and ASC 810 (consolidation).
• Experience with multi-entity close, intercompany accounting, and consolidations.

• Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to meet close and reporting deadlines.

Responsabilidades

• Month-End Close: Own key components of the monthly and quarterly close for corporate and project company entities, including journal entries, accruals, account reconciliations, intercompany activity, and fixed asset and construction-in-progress schedules.
• Development & Project Accounting: Track capitalized development costs by project, apply capitalization policy, account for interconnection deposits and security, and support accounting for project write-offs and project sales.
• Multi-Entity & Partnership Accounting: Maintain books across holding companies and project companies, including joint venture and partnership accounting, capital contributions and distributions, intercompany allocations, and management fee billings.
• Audit, Tax & Compliance: Prepare schedules for the annual financial statement audit and support outside tax advisors on partnership returns, K-1s, 1099s, and state and local filings.
• Reporting & Process: Prepare financial statements, budget-to-actual analysis, and investor reporting support, and drive improvements to controls, accounts payable workflow, and accounting systems.

NewEdge seeks a detail-oriented, highly organized accounting professional with proven technical skills and emotional intelligence to support the company’s accounting function across its corporate parent, holding companies, and 30+ project company entities. The Senior Associate Accountant position requires a strong commitment to accuracy, timeliness, and process improvement in a fast-paced, multi-entity development environment.

Your Core Responsibilities

Experience Qualifiers

• Senior Associate: 4+ years of accounting experience, including public accounting and/or accounting for energy, real estate, or infrastructure companies.

Required Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field.
• Strong working knowledge of U.S. GAAP, including ASC 360, ASC 842, and ASC 810 (consolidation).
• Experience with multi-entity close, intercompany accounting, and consolidations.
• Experience with cloud-based accounting systems (e.g., QuickBooks Online, Sage Intacct, NetSuite) and advanced Excel.
• Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to meet close and reporting deadlines.
• Proficiency with accounts payable systems (e.g., Bill.com, Ramp, Tipalti), including setup and configuration of approval workflows, vendor onboarding, coding to entities and projects, and integration with the general ledger.
• Ability to travel up to 10% of the time for team summits.
• Highly analytical mindset with a curiosity to figure new things out.
• Team player with a willingness to engage across the organization.
• High degree of emotional intelligence and respect for others.
• Self-starter with a strong passion for the clean energy industry.

Preferred Differentiators

• CPA or progress toward CPA licensure.
• Public accounting experience (Big 4 or regional firm).
• Renewable energy accounting experience, including familiarity with ITC and tax credit transfer accounting.
• Prior experience in an entrepreneurial environment and/or a small-to-medium size company, including accounting system implementation or automation.

Compensation:

The anticipated base salary range for this position is $80,000 – $100,000. Final base salary will be determined based on a range of factors, including skills, experience, qualifications, and location. In addition to base salary, this position is eligible for an annual performance-based bonus, participation in the company equity program, and the benefits listed above.
