Job description

Join to apply for the Senior Associate role at Capital One

The Credit and Data Community and Events team brings Capital One’s culture to life through immersive, high-impact events that strengthen our Credit, Modeling, and Data communities. From large‑scale conferences like Credit Summit, MAC (Modeling & Analytics Conference), and Data Week to targeted programs like Credit Matters, our work connects associates across the enterprise and reinforces our shared purpose and talent growth.

We’re looking for a high‑energy, detail‑oriented senior associate to support the planning and execution of these flagship programs. In this role, you’ll collaborate with lead project managers and cross‑functional partners to ensure flawless delivery, manage key workstreams end‑to‑end, and take ownership of several of your own events throughout the year. You’ll gain exposure to senior leaders, build relationships across multiple lines of business, and develop deep expertise in event management, communication, and program strategy.

Responsibilities
  • Lead catering and conference services logistics across all major programs—Credit Summit, MAC, and Data Week—ensuring a seamless experience from planning through onsite delivery. This includes detailed coordination with vendors, facilities, and onsite partners on food and beverage, room setups, materials, attendee registration, and technology support.
  • Own and deliver smaller‑scale programs end‑to‑end, such as the Card and Auto Credit Matters event series, managing planning timelines, content and speaker coordination, on‑site execution, and post‑event feedback.
    • Partner with internal stakeholders to align on objectives/topics, audience engagement strategies, and consistent messaging across all activations.
    • Develop and track event project plans, timelines/agendas, and budgets; proactively identify risks and propose solutions.
    • Develop and execute logistical planning and event operations.
    • Gather feedback and metrics to measure event success and surface opportunities for continuous improvement.
  • Contribute to cross‑event best practices and team process improvements to enhance efficiency and overall associate experience.
You’ll need to wear many hats including:
  • Planner: Highly organized and able to manage multiple moving pieces with precision and accountability.
  • Problem‑solver: Resourceful and proactive when navigating changing needs or solving last‑minute challenges.
  • Collaborator: Builds strong relationships across teams and communicates effectively with a wide range of partners.
  • Event Enthusiast: Brings creativity, energy, and an eye for detail to deliver memorable, high‑quality experiences.
  • Team Player: Ready to roll up your sleeves, support teammates, and contribute wherever needed to ensure success.
Basic Qualifications
  • High School diploma, GED, or equivalent certification.
  • At least 2 years of experience in project management, event planning, or program coordination.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree.
  • 1+ year of risk management experience.
  • 3+ years of experience in project management, event planning, or program coordination.
  • Experience supporting multi‑day or large‑scale associate events.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience with event logistics systems, timelines, or budget tracking tools.
  • Passion for fostering community and associate engagement.
