Job summary

A retail company in Southaven is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to establish guest services, support store operations, maximize sales, and oversee merchandising and inventory. The ideal candidate will have prior retail or management experience, be at least 18 years old, and able to handle physical demands such as standing for long periods and lifting up to 50 pounds. Overview

Hourly rate ranges from $16.75 - $17.00 per hour and is dependent upon qualifications and experience.

Responsibilities

• Establishing and maintaining Guest Services.
• Support the Store Manager in the various tasks involved in the overall operation of a store.
• Ensure maximum sales and profitability by developing staff, controlling expenses and shrinkage.
• Oversee all aspects of merchandising and inventory control in adherence with company policies and procedures.

Qualifications

• This position will work up to 38 hours per week.
• The minimum age requirement for an Assistant Store Manager is 18.
• The physical demands of the job require in excess of 8 hours of standing, walking, climbing ladders and lifting up to 50 pounds.
• Prior retail and/or management experience is required.
