Job summary

Jobot is seeking a Senior Asset Manager - Affordable Housing in Monte Nido, CA to oversee multifamily portfolios, ensure LIHTC/Section 42 compliance, and drive strong financial performance.

You will review monthly financials, monitor partnerships, collaborate with Development, Construction and Property Management on asset strategy, assist due diligence, and lead asset management calls. Travel about 5% and competitive compensation included.

Qualifications

  • 4–5+ years multifamily asset management experience.
  • Working knowledge of LIHTC/Section 42 requirements.
  • Strong financial analysis and quantitative skills.
  • Understanding of real estate accounting and financial reporting.
  • Advanced Excel skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to analyze financial statements, leases, contracts, loan documents, and regulatory agreements.
  • Strong communication, presentation, organization, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently while partnering effectively across teams.

Responsibilities

  • Review monthly property financials, budgets, and variance reports to evaluate portfolio performance.
  • Monitor property and partnership compliance with LIHTC/Section 42 requirements, partnership agreements, loan documents, and other regulatory requirements.
  • Analyze property performance, valuations, market trends, and operational results to identify opportunities and risks.
  • Partner with Development, Construction, and Property Management teams on asset strategy, leasing, financing, and project execution.
  • Support due diligence for acquisitions, financing, and dispositions.
  • Lead asset management calls and property visits, identifying issues and developing corrective action plans.
  • Review and monitor property management, vendor, lease, and other operational contracts.
  • Assist with insurance claims, tenant-related legal matters, and other property-level issues.

What You'll Do:

  • Working knowledge of LIHTC/Section 42 requirements.
  • Strong financial analysis and quantitative skills.
  • Understanding of real estate accounting and financial reporting.
  • Advanced Excel skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to analyze financial statements, leases, contracts, loan documents, and regulatory agreements.

  • Experience with Yardi, RealPage, or MRI is a plus.
