Job summary

Pyramid Consulting, Inc. has an immediate opening for an AS400 Developer (IBM I, RPGLE, CL, SQL) in Twin Cities, MN. This is a 6+ month onsite contract with potential for extension, offering a competitive pay range and comprehensive benefits.

Responsibilities include production support, system enhancements, and collaboration with stakeholders to deliver reliable solutions using RPGLE, CL, and SQL. Strong emphasis on CI/CD, GitLab, and ARCAD tooling to ensure release quality and stability.

Qualifications

• Must have 10+ years of hands-on RPGLE/Free Format RPG experience.
• Must have 10+ years of CL programming on Client i / AS400.
• Strong experience with screen & subfile development.
• Embedded SQL experience within RPGLE applications.
• Experience with production support in business-critical environments.
• Experience with GitLab for source control and deployment workflows.
• Experience using ARCAD for change management.
• Knowledge of Connect:Direct file transfer processes.

Responsibilities

• Provide production support and on-call coverage for Voyager Plus (OTR) applications.
• Support and enhance authorization, business data management, and settlement system capabilities.
• Analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve defects, production issues, and data/integration concerns.
• Develop, test, debug, and maintain RPGLE, CL, and SQL-based solutions.
• Support CI/CD, GitLab, and ARCAD integration to improve release quality and traceability.
• Lead or support project delivery from requirements through implementation.
• Mentor junior engineers and share knowledge across the team.
• Maintain documentation and operational procedures for long-term platform sustainability.
