Job summary

KellyMitchell is seeking a Senior Art Director to join our Chicago-based creative team on a 10-month contract. You’ll translate complex information into visually engaging customer communications across digital and print channels and collaborate with copywriters, strategists, and marketing partners to deliver campaigns that uphold our brand standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience with a strong creative portfolio.
• 4+ years of experience developing creative assets for digital and traditional marketing channels.
• 2+ years of experience designing for web, mobile, and social platforms.
• Expert proficiency with Figma.
• Expert proficiency with Adobe Creative Cloud, including: InDesign Photoshop Illustrator.
• Basic understanding of UX design principles.
• Basic knowledge of print production processes and printer specifications.
• Strong presentation and visual communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Design visually compelling customer communications for digital and print channels, including instructional content, customer updates, and marketing materials.
• Collaborate closely with copywriters, strategists, marketing partners, and other cross-functional stakeholders to develop integrated creative campaigns.
• Translate complex information into clear, accessible visual designs that improve customer understanding and engagement.
• Adapt creative solutions to evolving business priorities, project timelines, and stakeholder feedback.
• Manage multiple creative projects simultaneously while taking ownership of timelines, deliverables, and project execution.
• Apply and maintain brand identity, design standards, and messaging guidelines across all customer communications.
• Make informed creative decisions using customer insights, past experience, and design best practices.
• Produce high-quality creative work with exceptional attention to detail while consistently meeting deadlines.
• Incorporate stakeholder feedback to continuously improve communication effectiveness.
• Present creative concepts and clearly articulate design rationale to internal partners and stakeholders.
