Job description

At Intuitive Surgical, you’ll help shape the visual and experiential work of the Global Brand team. This onsite role in Sunnyvale, CA brings together creative strategy and execution across major media, channels, and experiences, with a collaborative environment built for turning concepts into complete deliverables.

What you’ll do

• Lead creative development from conceptualization through completion and hand-off, partnering with cross-functional peers to define and envision high-impact creative opportunities.
• Iterate quickly and collaboratively, translating a brief into multiple creative solutions while bringing out-of-the-box thinking to the process.
• Socialize new insights and ideas with a strong design rationale tied to business goals, encouraging the team to take action that improves customer and business outcomes.
• Apply systems thinking by building dynamic work within a framework and evolving that framework to meet product, channel, and regional needs.
• Collaborate with designers and writers, along with media production, project management, account team, brand, and product strategists, to create thoughtful, strategic solutions that expand the company’s brand presence.
• Think strategically across communication channels, including web, event, social, print, and video, using mood boards and storyboards to communicate intent.
• Execute designs from conception to final hand-off and/or support digital production teams.
• Proactively communicate project status across teams, clients, and departments.

What you bring

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in graphic design and related work experience.
• 9+ years of design experience, preferably in the tech space at an agency or in-house brand team.
• A proven track record of world-class, breakthrough work with strong visual storytelling that connects emotionally with audiences.
• Experience creating engaging end-to-end campaigns across multiple mediums and channels, including print, motion and video, social, digital experiences, and physical spaces.
• Deep understanding of storytelling across social channels and the ability to spot emergent opportunities.
• Ability to think globally, bringing ideas to other regions with informed appreciation for regional challenges and opportunities.
• High productivity and resourcefulness, with the ability to execute on multiple projects and prioritize based on business needs and timelines.
• Demonstrated collaboration across multiple stakeholders, incorporating feedback efficiently to drive the team’s strategic process and final product forward.
• Motivated self-starter mindset, comfortable taking ownership and operating within ambiguity.
• A portfolio showing diverse ideas, problem-solving, and expertise in visual design skills including typography, color theory, and composition.
• Expert-level experience in Figma and Adobe Creative Suite (After Effects a plus).
