Platte County School District seeks a Senior Army Instructor (SAI) to lead the JROTC program at Northland Career Center, guiding cadets and shaping leadership experiences. The SAI serves as department chair and chief instructor, reporting to district leadership and Cadet Command coordinators.

This role requires a veteran Army background and strong classroom or mentoring skills. The position begins in 2027-28 at the new Northland Workforce Development Center.

Qualifications

• This position requires a BA/BS degree and Cadet Command certification.
• Minimum of 8 years in the Army with officer ranks CPT/O-3 through COL/O-6.
• Senior Army Instructor is the department chairperson and chief instructor of the JROTC unit.

The Senior Army Instructor (SAI) is the department chairperson and chief instructor of the JROTC unit. Officer rank: CPT/O-3 – COL/O-6, minimum of 8 years in the Army. Candidates for this position must possess at least a BA/BS degree and must be certified by Cadet Command.

Additional Eligibility Criteria

This position will begin during the 2027-28 school year located at Northland Career Center at the new Northland Workforce Development Center.
