Job summary

LPL Financial seeks a Distinguished Architect to define and advance the target-state architecture for trading and investment management platforms. You’ll partner with executives to align business strategy with scalable, secure technology solutions, and drive modernization across high-volume trading systems.

Qualifications

• 8+ years designing enterprise-scale architectures including microservices and event-driven systems.
• 5+ years in trading technology domains (equities, ETFs, options, wealth platforms).
• Experience leading cloud transformation initiatives (AWS) and modernizing legacy platforms.
• Experience defining and executing long-term architecture strategies and roadmaps.

Responsibilities

• Own architecture for enterprise-scale trading platforms, aligning strategy with business priorities.
• Lead modernization initiatives including cloud adoption, API-first design, and microservices.
• Define target-state architecture across Broker Dealer, Advisory, and Models domains.
• Guide architecture standards and reusable assets for scalability, performance and security.
