Job summary

Mani Colaku Architects in NYC seeks a Senior Architect to lead high-end residential projects, oversee technical production, and direct construction administration. You will guide design directions, develop contract documents, and mentor staff in rigorous documentation standards.

The ideal candidate has 15+ years of experience, a US-accredited degree, and strong knowledge of NY codes and DOB processes. Proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD is required; Rhino is a plus.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of architectural experience focused on ground-up, high-end residential projects.
• US-accredited architecture degree; Registered Architect preferred.
• Proven project management experience with multiple projects simultaneously.
• Highly collaborative with excellent interpersonal skills.
• Strong knowledge of NY high-end residential construction, zoning, and DOB filing.
• Experience independently managing projects, consultants, clients, and budgets.
• Thorough knowledge of construction assemblies, detailing, millwork, waterproofing, and code compliance.
• Proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD; Rhino modeling is a plus.
• Comprehensive design and documentation skills including hand drawing.

Responsibilities

• Lead project teams from kickoff to completion, mentoring staff in documentation and coordination.
• Guide design direction and develop contract documents for luxury residential projects.
• Manage drawing sets through all phases with accuracy and completeness.
• Coordinate with consultants; lead meetings and align trades.
• Lead job-site meetings, review submittals and RFIs, resolving field conditions with engineers and builders.
