Job summary

Somerville Architects, a 100% employee-owned design firm, seeks an experienced Architect for an onsite role in Wisconsin. Lead project teams, mentor designers and drafters, and manage projects from inception to completion across healthcare, education, civic, and commercial markets.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor or Master of Architecture, NCARB licensure with 10+ years, and a strong portfolio. Relocation assistance is available.

Qualifications

• Bachelor or Master of Architecture degree.
• NCARB licensure with 10+ years of professional experience.
• Experience in healthcare, education, civic, or commercial projects.
• Award-winning portfolio or demonstrated high-quality work.

Responsibilities

• Mentor designers and drafters on project teams.
• Perform building assessments and write reports.
• Plan and manage projects from inception through completion on schedule and within budget.
• Utilize Revit, BIM software, and visualization methods.
• Incorporate sustainability into designs.
• Coordinate with consultants and contractors.
• Review specifications and oversee construction administration.
• Support project close-out and client communications.
• Present to clients and the public.
• Ensure project profitability and client retention.
