United Future in New York City is seeking a Senior Design Professional to lead corporate interiors projects with a strong emphasis on client collaboration and design execution. The role requires an entrepreneurial mindset, bright ideas, and top-notch problem-solving skills.

The position is hybrid (4 days in office) with a broad scope spanning design development, budget analysis, furniture specifications, and coordination with project teams across stages from concept to construction documents.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 10 years continuous design experience in Corporate / Commercial / Workplace Interiors.
• Expert proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, and Adobe Creative Suite.
• Experience with photo-realistic renderings using Enscape and AI-driven tools.
• Ability to coordinate design requirements with client, consultant and project team.

Responsibilities

• Interface with client throughout design phase.
• Oversee design team and develop preliminary programs of requirements.
• Develop space standards, test-fits, schematic planning and program analysis.
• Prepare design scope, budget documentation, and budget analysis.
• Develop 3-dimensional design concepts including lighting and FF&E.
• Coordinate design requirements with client, consultants and project team.
• Organize and attend design presentations.
• Review furniture specifications and bid documents.
• Periodically visit project sites during construction.

Senior Design Professional – Corporate Interiors

New York, NY – HYBRID

Our client is an award-winning provider of innovative design solutions. Headquartered in New York City with satellite offices in Long Island, the firm works locally, regionally, nationally and internationally.

They have an immediate need for a Senior Design Professional with a minimum of 10 years of experience, to lead, create, and execute diverse projects for their corporate interiors practice out of their New York City location. The ideal candidate will have an entrepreneurial spirit, enthusiasm, bright ideas, and strong problem‑solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Interface with client throughout design phase
• Oversee design team
• Develop preliminary programs of requirements
• Develop space standards
• Develop test‑fits, schematic planning, program analysis and basic code analysis
• Prepare design scope budget documentation and budget analysis
• Develop 3-dimensional design concepts including lighting and FF & E
• Coordinate design requirements with client, consultant and project team
• Organize, prepare and attend design presentations
• Select, present and specify furniture, finishes, and accessories. Lead furniture showroom tours
• Prepare furniture bid documents and analyze responses
• Review furniture dealer specifications
• Coordinate design development package for construction documents, including equipment.
• Specifications and profile sketches of all special construction and millwork details
• Assist in reviewing engineering documents to ensure compliance with design intent
• Assist in construction bid analysis and value engineering
• Review shop drawings / submittals for design intent
• Periodically visit project site during construction
• Attend business presentation. Assist in scripting presentations

Requirements

• Minimum of 10 years continuous design experience in Corporate / Commercial / Workplace Interiors
• Expert proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, and Adobe Creative Suite
• Ability to create photo-realistic renderings utilizing Enscape & AI-driven software
• Experience with specifying systems & ancillary furniture
• Understanding of schematic design, design development and contract documents
• Excellent verbal, interpersonal, and communication skills
• A detail-oriented mindset and an ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment

The projected annual salary range for this position is $120K to $160K. This role is hybrid (4 days in office) with comprehensive benefits.
