Job summary

NVIDIA Corporation is seeking a seasoned ISP architect to lead the development of high-performance image processing for autonomous driving and robotics. The role emphasizes architecture design, validation, and cross-team collaboration to achieve top-tier image quality.

The candidate should hold a Master’s degree with 10+ years of ISP imaging experience and strong skills in C/C++, MATLAB, Python, PyTorch and TensorFlow, plus excellent communication and documentation abilities.

Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • 10+ years of proven ISP architecture and imaging science experience for automotive, robotics, surveillance, and consumer cameras.
  • Strong foundation in human- and machine-centric image quality assessment and algorithm complexity analysis.
  • Proficiency in C/C++, MATLAB, Python, PyTorch and TensorFlow.
  • Excellent communication skills for productive collaboration and documentation.

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the build and development of ISP for NVIDIA's autonomous driving and robotics applications.
  • Drive continuous improvement and innovation in image processing algorithms and architectures.
  • Engage with new camera application areas and identify opportunities to innovate ISP.
  • Develop ISP architecture specifications, models, and tests with hardware and software teams.
  • Represent NVIDIA ISP capabilities to internal groups, partners, and customers.

What you\'ll be doing:
  • Contribute to the build and development of world-class ISP to meet the ambitious performance and quality standards of NVIDIA\'s autonomous driving and robotics applications
  • Apply your expertise to drive continuous improvement and innovation in image processing algorithms and architectures including SOTA deep learning methods to achieve unprecedented image quality and camera usability
  • Engage with new camera application areas including Vision-Language-Action AI to understand needs and constraints, and discover opportunities to innovate ISP
  • Develop ISP architecture specifications, functional models, and tests by working closely with other IP architects, hardware engineers, and software teams
  • Represent new and existing NVIDIA ISP capabilities to internal groups, partners, and customers
What we need to see:
  • A Master\'s degree or equivalent experience in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field
  • 10+ years of proven experience in ISP architecture and imaging science for automotive, robotics, surveillance, and consumer cameras
  • Strong foundation in human- and machine-centric image quality assessment and algorithm complexity analysis
  • Proficiency in C/C++, MATLAB, Python, DL framework (PyTorch, TensorFlow)
  • Excellent communication skills for productive personal interactions as well as for effective documentation and presentation
Ways to stand out from the crowd:
  • Ph.D. in relevant field or equivalent experience
  • Deep expertise in image science covering optics, HDR image sensors, and color/tone management
  • Experience in developing and successfully deploying deep learning-based ISP technologies in real-time camera systems
  • Knowledge of industry standards and benchmarks for consumer, automotive, and medical imaging systems
  • Track record in building a culture of imaging excellence based on first principles and attention to detail through mentorship, teaching, and personal examples

You will have a base salary determined based on location, experience, and the pay of employees in similar positions. The base salary range is 184,000 USD - 287,500 USD for Level 4, and 224,000 USD - 356,500 USD for Level 5.

You will also be eligible for equity and benefits.
