Job summary

Amped Fitness seeks a Licensed Architect to lead gym layout designs, spatial planning, and visual mockups for new locations. You will oversee concept-to-execution, ensuring code compliance and collaboration with leadership, field operations, and marketing.

You will produce construction documents, 3D visualizations, and maintain standards libraries while coordinating with contractors and vendors. On-site work in Pompano Beach, FL is required.

Qualifications

• Professional Degree in Architecture (B.Arch or M.Arch) required.
• Active Architectural License (Florida required and ability to obtain TX, AZ, GA, NV, OH, IN, IL, NJ).
• 4+ years experience in commercial architecture or interior planning (fitness, big-box retail, hospitality, or high-traffic environments preferred).
• Must be efficient and fast with SketchUp, or comparable rendering software.
• Experience working with municipalities and expediting permitting processes, navigating different codes and comments.
• Strong understanding of space planning, traffic flow, and equipment adjacencies.
• Proven experience producing coordinated construction documents and working with permitting authorities.
• Working knowledge of ADA, and relevant accessibility and life-safety codes.
• Portfolio demonstrating both technical documentation and 3D visualization capabilities.
• Ability to travel locally and/or fly out for site visits as needed.

• Work collaboratively with the marketing team to translate architectural concepts into branded visuals and promotional materials.
• Maintain an organized library of equipment standards, templates, and layout best practices.

We’re looking for an In-House Licensed Architect with a sharp eye for detail and a strong command of design software to help us bridge creativity and technical execution.

POSITION OVERVIEW:

We are seeking a Licensed Architect with strong experience in commercial interior planning and technical documentation to lead gym layout designs, spatial planning, and visual mockups for new locations. This role will guide the full concept-to-execution process, collaborating directly with leadership, field operations, equipment vendors, and marketing to ensure our facilities are both functional and visually compelling.
