Job summary

The Woodlands Retirement Community is seeking a motivated Aquatics Fitness Instructor to lead and expand our aquatic fitness program for senior residents. This full-time role requires creating safe, engaging classes and adapting activities for varying mobility levels in a welcoming environment.

Ideal candidates will have experience teaching aquatic fitness, a background working with older adults, and current CPR/First Aid/Lifeguard certifications.

Qualifications

• Previous experience teaching aquatic fitness classes preferred.
• Experience working with seniors in retirement or healthcare settings preferred.
• Current CPR, First Aid, and Lifeguard certifications required.

Responsibilities

• Plan, lead and adapt group aquatic fitness classes for seniors.
• Develop and expand the aquatics program with new classes and activities.
• Modify exercises for varying mobility and fitness levels.
• Maintain safety, monitor residents, and respond to emergencies.
• Collaborate with Activities and Wellness teams to engage residents.
