Job summary

Colorado Parks and Wildlife seeks an Aquatic Data Manager to lead the technical implementation and daily operation of statewide aquatic data systems. You will design and maintain SQL Server databases and build dashboards and automated data pipelines to support sportfish management, native species monitoring, and hatchery operations.

The role requires six years of data experience, strong skills in SQL, Tableau, and GIS tools, and the ability to collaborate with biologists, GIS staff, and IT

Qualifications

• Six years of data management, SQL, and relational databases.
• Experience with Tableau, R Shiny, ArcGIS, Survey123, or similar tools.
• Ability to learn aquatic data structures and basic aquatic ecology concepts.
• Bachelor's degree in Wildlife/Aquatic Biology or related field.

Responsibilities

• Design, maintain, and improve SQL Server databases for aquatic data.
• Develop dashboards, R Shiny apps, and automated data pipelines.
• Provide user support and documentation for data systems.
• Coordinate data governance, standards, and metadata across programs.
