Amazon.com Services LLC is seeking a highly skilled security researcher to tackle advanced verification and security challenges within a fast-paced environment. You will work on proving correctness and security properties for complex systems while mentoring colleagues and shaping the security roadmap.

The role emphasizes deep technical expertise, cross-team influence, and the ability to translate research into scalable, real-world security solutions in AWS’s diverse product landscape.

Qualifications

• PhD, or Master’s degree and 6+ years of applied research experience.
• Experience in mathematical logic, formal verification, SAT/SMT, mechanical theorem proving, model checking, or program analysis.
• Experience in professional software development.
• Experience programming in OCaml, Dafny, Haskell, Kotlin, Lean, Rust, Scala or related language.
• Experience with proof assistants or verification languages such as Lean, Dafny, Isabelle, or Rocq.

• Own strategic problem solving, and take the lead on the design, implementation, and delivery for solutions that have a long-term quantifiable impact.
