Job summary

Prodapt seeks a Senior Applied Scientist (ORSA) to lead large-scale optimization in inventory allocation and replenishment for retail supply chains in a US-based role. You will architect optimization frameworks, translate business constraints into mathematical models, and guide a team of applied scientists across regions.

The candidate brings 7+ years of experience in operations research, strong Python skills, and proficiency with Gurobi/CPLEX, AWS SageMaker, and related tools.

Qualifications

• MS/PhD in OR or related field preferred.
• Bachelor’s in CS/Engineering or related field required/strongly preferred.
• 7+ years as Applied Scientist with optimization/OR focus.

Responsibilities

• Lead optimization architecture: problem formulation, solver selection, constraint modeling.
• Own the mathematical framework for optimized allocation plans with business constraints.
• Architect multi-objective optimization balancing in-stock rates, inventory turns, and costs.
• Guide the optimization team on problem decomposition and solution approaches per region.
• Interface with customer supply chain planning on constraint definition and business rule translation.
