Job summary

Amazon in Seattle, WA seeks a Senior Applied Scientist to advance AI research and product implementations for catalog systems. You will design, train, and deploy powerful AI models, including LLMs and diffusion models, and collaborate across teams to deliver scalable solutions at global scale.

You will work on autonomous agents, language modeling, and multi-modality vision, contributing to research publications and Amazon’s scientific innovation within the AI Lab Team.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of building machine learning models for business application experience.
• PhD, or Master’s degree and 6+ years of applied research experience.
• Experience programming in Java, C++, Python or related language.
• Experience with neural deep learning methods and machine learning.

We are seeking a Senior Applied Scientist to join our team in developing pioneering AI research, Generative AI, Agentic AI, Large Language Models (LLMs), Diffusion and Flow Models, and other advanced Machine Learning and Deep Learning solutions for Amazon Selection and Catalog Systems, within the AI Lab Team. Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with modeling tools such as R, scikit-learn, Spark MLLib, MxNet, Tensorflow, numpy, scipy etc.
• Experience with large scale distributed systems such as Hadoop, Spark etc.

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
