Amazon Science in Seattle is seeking a Lead Applied Scientist to advance ML for Prime Video Ads. You will own end-to-end research, design scalable models, and ship production-ready systems that personalize ad experiences for millions of customers across thousands of titles.

The role emphasizes Generative AI, causal ML, and deep learning, with collaboration across product, engineering, and research to push the boundaries of advertising technology.

Qualifications

• PhD in CS/CE/ML or MS with 4+ years of relevant experience.
• 3+ years building models for business applications.
• Experience programming in Java, C++, Python.
• Publications or patents in top venues are a plus.

Responsabilités

• Develop ML models for personalization at scale across 100M+ customers and 100k+ titles.
• Design and analyze large-scale A/B experiments and apply causal inference techniques.
• Collaborate with engineering to ensure production latency and scalability requirements are met.
• Partner with product managers to translate business problems into tractable ML problems.
• Shape the team’s scientific roadmap and identify high-impact research directions.
