Job summary

Amperesand is seeking a Senior Applications Engineer to join the Deployment team to own site integration success for products from sales support through design, installation and commissioning. The role requires expertise in industrial protocols and SCADA integration, translating customer requirements into system configurations.

Ideal candidates will have 5+ years of hands-on experience with power conversion systems, strong electrical and communications system design, and skills to collaborate

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Controls/Computer Engineering or related technical discipline.
• 5+ years in applications engineering, controls, commissioning, or deployment of power conversion or electrical infrastructure systems.
• Strong experience with SCADA and industrial communications (Modbus TCP, SunSpec, DNP3).

Responsibilities

• Own site integration success from sales support through site design, installation and commissioning.
• Define, configure, test, and troubleshoot communications interfaces and protocols (Modbus TCP, SunSpec, DNP3).
• Develop and maintain SCADA integration requirements, point maps, register maps, and control interfaces.
• Support integration with plant controllers, EMS, BMS, SCADA, PLCs, and other site-level systems.
• Interpret single-line diagrams and design communication architectures for site design and commissioning.
• Lead commissioning procedures and drive continuous improvement of product deployments.
• Provide on-site oversight for installation and commissioning of Amperesand products.
