Job summary

Kinetyc in Wixom, Michigan, seeks a senior, customer‑facing engineer to guide technical conversations from onboarding through production. You bring 8–15 years of engineering experience in mechanical, electrical, or systems fields and can drive DFM discussions with customers and suppliers.

You will translate CAD/BOM packages into manufacturing plans, bridge design and factory teams, and nurture long‑term partnerships across multiple accounts.

Qualifications

• 8–15 years of engineering experience across product/customer side.
• Background in mechanical, electrical, or systems engineering.
• Comfortable in DFM conversations identifying manufacturability issues.
• Experience reading CAD, BOMs, and technical design packages.
• Experience with contract manufacturers or Tier 1/2 suppliers.
• Strong communication for technical reviews and executive discussions.

Responsibilities

• Primary technical relationship with new and existing customers from onboarding through production.
• Lead customer engineering conversations — requirements gathering, DFM feedback, systems integration discussions, and technical risk identification.
• Bridge between customer design and Kinetyc manufacturing engineering — translating CAD, BOM, and design packages into executable manufacturing plans.
• Support the 30-day new customer launch process as the technical lead.
• Identify and communicate gaps between customer expectations and Kinetyc capabilities with proposed solutions.
• Represent Kinetyc’s technical capability in customer-facing settings — presentations, site visits, design reviews.
