Job summary

ASML in Hillsboro, Oregon is seeking a Senior Applications Engineer to lead system-performance escalations and act as tech lead for containment. You will collaborate with the team to ensure superior CS Application support on an advanced node HVM in the US region.

The role offers growth into technical expertise, project leadership, or management tracks with up to 10% travel for training and on-site support. A strong background in lithography and data analysis is required.

Qualifications

• Master's degree or PhD in a technical discipline with minimum 5 years’ work experience.
• Minimum 8 years’ experience in an IC manufacturing environment with lithography/metrology background.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in data analysis using MATLAB or Python.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience with stakeholder and change management.
• Minimum 5 year experience in data analysis and presenting findings.
• Minimum 3 year experience with project management methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Participate and/or co-lead projects for new systems introduction and HVM2HVM transitions.
• Own workstreams, develop autonomous project plans and report progress to stakeholders.
• Support troubleshooting and escalation for customer on-product issues.
• Translate customer issues into lithography/metrology problem statements and resolve.
• Define customer experiments and data analyses to demonstrate ASML product value.
• Meet stakeholders to ensure two-way commitment and progress visibility.
• Prepare technical presentations for customer meetings and assist sales.
• Define and drive customer requirements for products based on technical intimacy.

Senior Applications Engineer leading system performance related technical escalation, tech lead in driving time to containment and solution individually, with team members and leveraging resources to ensure class leading CS Application support on an advanced node HVM in US region.

Role and responsibilities

• Participate and/or co-lead projects aligned with lead application engineer aimed at new systems introduction and supporting the HVM2HVM node transition.
• Own workstreams within a larger project; develop and drive autonomously a project plan and chase a successful execution with regular updates to relevant internal and external stakeholders.
• Support troubleshooting and escalation process for customer on-product issues on ongoing basis.
• Translate a customer on-product issue into a potential lithography or metrology related problem statement, resolve these issues to help them maximize the performance and use of ASML products.
• Define and join customers’ (on-product) experiments and data analysis to ensure that they are performed in an efficient manner for accuracy and demonstrate ASMLs product value.
• Meet with internal and external stakeholders to maintain two-way level of commitment to keep all involved and affected parties informed of progress.
• Prepare technical presentations for customer meetings, provide new user support, and assists sales.
• Define and drive customer requirements for existing or evaluation products based on technical intimacy with the customer.
• Give technical guidance to junior engineers; closely collaborate with project leads and equipment peers.

Education and experience

• Master's degree or PhD in a technical discipline with a minimum 5 years’ work experience.
• Minimum 8 years’ experience in an IC manufacturing environment with a technical background on lithography and/or on-product metrology, high-end DUV or EUV preferred.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in data analysis using support software (MATLAB or Python)
• Minimum 5 years’ experience with stakeholder and change management.
• Minimum 5 year experience in data analysis and analyzing technical data to summarize and present findings.
• Minimum 3 year experience with project management methodologies.

Pay scales are determined by role, level, location and alignment with market data. Individual pay is determined through interviews and an assessment of several factors that that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to job-related skills, relevant education and experience, certifications, abilities of the candidate and pay relative to other team members.

The Company offers employees and their families, medical, dental, vision, and basic life insurance. Employees are able to participate in the Company’s 401k plan. Employees will also receive eight (8) hours of vacation leave every month and (13) paid holidays throughout the calendar year.
