Job summary

American Bureau of Shipping (ABS) is seeking a Cybersecurity Architect to lead enterprise security design, ensure secure SDLC practices, and drive DevSecOps across cloud, on‑prem, and hybrid environments. You will partner with IT, architects, and development teams to align security with ABS business goals and regulatory requirements.

The role emphasizes application security, threat modeling, and secure coding, while providing guidance on SAST/DAST/SCA tools and modern security technologies.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in cybersecurity with at least 3 years in architecture or senior security engineering.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a related field; Master's preferred.
• Experience in regulated industries and familiarity with Zero Trust architectures.
• Leadership in cross-functional, global teams and strong communication skills.
• Experience collaborating with developers, platform engineers, and product teams.

Responsibilities

• Define and maintain enterprise security architecture across cloud, on-premises, and hybrid environments.
• Lead application security architecture, secure design patterns, and secure SDLC practices.
• Drive DevSecOps adoption with integrated security controls in CI/CD pipelines.
• Provide guidance on code security, SAST/DAST/SCA, and secrets management.
• Collaborate with IT and business leaders to align security roadmaps with risk management.
