Job summary

Credence Management Solutions, LLC is seeking a Senior Application Programmer to lead API development and enterprise integration efforts in a government-focused environment. You will drive modern API strategies, mentor teams, and collaborate with architects, cybersecurity, and stakeholders.

You will design secure, scalable solutions using MuleSoft, SAP, and modern DevSecOps practices, while guiding the software lifecycle from planning to deployment in large-scale enterprise settings.

Qualifications

• US citizenship with the ability to obtain and maintain Secret Clearance.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 10+ years of experience in software development, application programming, enterprise integration, or API development.
• Experience designing, developing, testing, and deploying enterprise software solutions.
• Experience developing APIs and integrations using MuleSoft or a comparable middleware platform.
• Experience integrating enterprise systems, databases, web services, and cloud-based applications.
• Experience working in Agile software development environments.
• Strong understanding of application architecture, software design principles, and system integration patterns.
• Demonstrated ability to lead technical efforts and mentor development teams.
• Relevant technical certification or equivalent professional experience.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain enterprise APIs and integration solutions.
• Modernize legacy interfaces and data exchanges with secure, reusable API services.
• Develop API solutions using MuleSoft Anypoint Platform, Anypoint Studio, API Manager, and Runtime Manager.
• Create API specifications using REST, SOAP, RAML, OpenAPI, JSON, XML.
• Develop data transformations, mappings, and reusable integration components using DataWeave.
• Integrate enterprise applications with SAP, databases, cloud services, and SaaS platforms.
• Implement API security controls including OAuth 2.0, JWT, PKI, and RBAC.
• Design scalable, highly available solutions with load balancing and resiliency.
• Collaborate with architects, engineers, analysts, cybersecurity, stakeholders.
• Support CI/CD and DevSecOps with Jenkins, Git, Maven, Azure DevOps.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies, code reviews, sprint planning, design discussions.
• Troubleshoot production issues, resolve defects, and support releases.
• Mentor junior developers and provide technical leadership across teams.

Position Summary

Credence has an immediate need for a Senior Application Programmer to support enterprise system modernization and API integration initiatives. This role serves as a technical lead responsible for designing, developing, implementing, and sustaining secure, scalable APIs and integration solutions using MuleSoft, SAP integration technologies, and modern DevSecOps practices.

The ideal candidate has extensive experience developing enterprise-grade APIs, integrating complex business systems, modernizing legacy interfaces, and supporting mission‑critical applications in large‑scale enterprise or government environments.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain enterprise APIs and integration solutions.
• Modernize legacy interfaces and data exchanges by implementing secure, reusable, and real‑time API services.
• Develop API solutions using MuleSoft Anypoint Platform, Anypoint Studio, API Manager, and Runtime Manager.
• Create and maintain API specifications using REST, SOAP, RAML, OpenAPI, JSON, XML, and related technologies.

• Integrate enterprise applications with SAP, databases, cloud services, SaaS platforms, and other internal and external systems.
• Implement API security controls including OAuth 2.0, JWT, PKI, client authentication, and role‑based access control.
• Design scalable and highly available solutions that support load balancing, resiliency, and enterprise performance requirements.
• Collaborate with architects, engineers, business analysts, cybersecurity teams, and stakeholders throughout the software development lifecycle.
• Support CI/CD and DevSecOps practices using tools such as Jenkins, Git, GitLab, Maven, and Azure DevOps.
