Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with 6+ years of professional experience or equivalent

At MathWorks, you'll shape how our customers develop, verify, and test the embedded systems behind semiconductor equipment, grid-scale power systems, AI data center infrastructure and theme park rides. If you enjoy autonomous systems, predictive algorithms, or securing critical infrastructure, this role puts you at the center of how those systems get built.

As a Senior Application Engineer, you will work face-to-face with customers to understand their technical and business challenges, then enable them to create effective embedded software solutions, develop predictive algorithms, and perform verification and validation with MathWorks products.

Travel: 30–40%, primarily throughout North America.

Qualifications

• A bachelor's degree and 6 years of professional work experience (or a master's degree and 3 years of professional work experience, or a PhD degree, or equivalent experience) is required.

Additional Qualifications

• MATLAB and Simulink experience
• Applying machine learning and deep learning to signal data — classification, signal processing, prediction, and regression
• Implementing predictive maintenance or forecasting algorithms in production
• Experience with cloud systems, such as AWS and/or Azure
• Professional experience with C/C++
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Highly motivated to work directly with customers
• Familiarity with Model Context Protocol (MCP) and agentic workflows
