Job summary

Texas Water Development Board seeks a senior software development leader to administer the Application Development Team’s daily operations, set goals, and supervise staff under the Director of the Application Development Department. You will guide project activities, budgets, and resource alignment to agency objectives.

You will evaluate new technologies, manage customer interactions, and ensure compliance with rules and delivery standards while maintaining quality service for stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; seven years of relevant experience managing software development teams.
• Five years of progressive experience as a software developer using .NET Framework or Open-source technologies.
• Relevant education and experience can be substituted for each other on a year-for-year basis.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage project activities within the team, providing technical direction and guidance.
• Ensure development processes and lifecycle methods are followed, including project management and SDLC.
• Lead in evaluating and aligning projects with agency goals and ensure customer service excellence.
