Job summary

Newport News Nuclear BWXT Los Alamos LLC is seeking an Application Developer to design, develop, and support secure enterprise applications using C#, .NET, ASP.NET Core, and Azure. You will collaborate with stakeholders and IT teams to deliver scalable software solutions while adhering to cybersecurity and regulatory requirements.

The role emphasizes full software lifecycle, AI-assisted productivity tools, and DevSecOps practices in a cloud-centric environment with compliance to DOE directives

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or a related technical discipline; and at least three (3) years of relevant experience.
• Level 3: Bachelor's degree ...; and at least five (5) years of relevant experience.
• Experience with cloud-native or cloud-hosted applications in Microsoft Azure.
• Experience with SharePoint Online administration and development.
• Experience implementing DevSecOps and CI/CD best practices.
• Experience with Microsoft Power Platform governance and enterprise deployment.
• Experience with React, Angular, or modern front-end frameworks.
• Familiarity with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Active DOE Q Clearance or the ability to obtain and maintain one.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain enterprise applications and services using C#, .NET, ASP.NET Core, Entity Framework Core, and related technologies.
• Design and develop RESTful APIs, web services, and system integrations.
• Participate in solution architecture, technical design reviews, and technology evaluations.
• Create scalable, maintainable, and reusable software components following established design patterns and architectural standards.
• Translate business requirements into technical specifications and software solutions.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements, define solutions, and deliver business value.
• Communicate effectively with technical and non-technical audiences.
• Participate in technical briefings, project meetings, and customer engagements.
• Provide technical guidance and knowledge sharing within project teams.
