Job summary

Nike Inc. is seeking a Senior Technical Designer for the Jordan Global Apparel team in Beaverton, OR. This role coordinates fit and construction from concept to production, creates and revises Tech Packs, and maintains development documentation to ensure quality, sustainability, and profitability goals.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in apparel development and proficiency with Illustrator, Optitex, and Clo/Browzwear. Travel up to 10% is required.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Apparel Design, Textile Science, or related field; equivalent education/experience acceptable
Minimum of 5 years directly relevant work experience in apparel development or technical design
Experience in apparel development process from concept to production including pattern making, grading, construction, materials, costing, manufacturing and quality
Strong problem solving, organization and communication skills; ability to interpret design intent and provide solutions
Experience writing product specs and construction standards; working with factory vendors to improve manufacturability

Responsibilities

Manage assigned styles within the Jordan Apparel Technical Design team, collaborating daily with Development, Product Management, Materials, Color, Quality, Manufacturing, and the Product Creation Center
Create and maintain detailed tech packs for factory partners, including measurements, construction sketches, and graphic placements
Request, track, review, and comment on physical and digital prototypes; lead proto review sessions
Navigate gates, calendars, and milestones to ensure on-time production readiness
Communicate progress, risks, and solutions in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
