Job summary

SciTec in Princeton, NJ, is seeking an Application Security Engineer to advance weapon-system software security across the development lifecycle. You will perform and integrate SAST, SCA, fuzzing, and manual reviews within CI/CD and DevSecOps processes, partnering with software engineers to embed security from design to deployment.

The ideal candidate has 2+ years in application security, strong code-analysis skills, and the ability to obtain a DoD/DoE clearance.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree plus 2+ years of professional experience in cybersecurity or software development, or equivalent experience.
2+ years of experience focused on application/software security.
Experience analyzing source code for security flaws.
Familiarity with secure software development practices.
Ability to qualify for and maintain a DoD or DoE Secret security clearance.

Responsibilities

Perform application security analysis using automated and manual techniques (SAST, SCA, fuzzing, reviews).
Identify and remediate application vulnerabilities.
Support engineers in integrating security into designs and CI/CD pipelines.
Design, implement, and improve CI security analysis tooling.
Tune security tools to reduce false positives and improve signal quality.
Document findings and best practices.
