Job summary

U.S. Bank is seeking a Lead Information Security Consultant - API Security & Governance to enhance API security across the enterprise.

You will partner with Information Security, Technology Risk, and architecture teams to define standards, governance, and secure API adoption. Responsibilities include leading API security program development, threat modeling, security reviews, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements; collaboration with platform teams on Apigee, AWS API Gateway,

Qualifications

10+ years in information/security roles focusing on API and application security.
Deep expertise in API security design, authentication, authorization, and risk management.
Experience developing and enforcing security standards, governance, controls, and policies.
Experience with threat modeling, security reviews, and architecture assessments.

Responsibilities

Lead development of enterprise API security standards, controls and governance.
Assess and improve API security posture through reviews and risk evaluations.
Provide guidance on secure API architecture and lifecycle management.
Collaborate with teams to align security with enterprise standards.
Support regulatory, compliance, audit, and risk activities related to API security.
